Can you send a gift directly to the recipient?
At MUSUBI KILN, we provide several options to make your gift more special.
Send a Gift Directly to the Recipient
- At checkout, simply enter the recipient’s address as the shipping address, and the gift will be delivered directly to them.
- No prices are shown on the invoice, so the recipient will not see the cost.
- One Furoshiki wrapping is included per order.
- For EMS shipping, the shipping label will show the item value due to customs requirements.
- The “Shipment Details” sheet included in the package will display the sender’s information.
Gift Message
Your message can be added to the MEMO column of the “Shipment Details” sheet, the only document included in the package.

Due to our warehouse system, we cannot make changes once an order has been packed. Please contact us as early as possible.

Do you put any invoices/receipts/price tags in the package?
Normally, we do not include any invoices, receipts, or price tags inside the package.
However, if you choose EMS as the shipping method, we are required by customs regulations to attach an invoice with item prices to the outside of the box.
Additionally, each package will include a document titled “Shipment Details.”
This sheet contains information about the ordered items (without prices) and the sender’s information.

Can you provide Furoshiki wrapping individually?
Unfortunately, due to our partner distribution center's system, we are unable to wrap your items separately.
We will wrap everything together in a single Furoshiki wrapping cloth. If you would like, you can purchase additional Furoshiki from our store and wrap it yourself.

I can't find gift wrapping option. Is that available?
Please don't worry- your item will be carefully enclosed within a single furoshiki wrapping for all the items together.
Unfortunately, if your order contains many items, we may not be able to wrap them together. In that case, we will enclose a Furoshiki in the package instead of wrapping items.

Each card is an exclusive MUSUBI KILN design, inspired by the beauty of Japan, and makes your gift even more special. Please note that custom messages cannot be printed or written on the cards.

Do you offer gift cards?
Yes. We offer pre-paid digital gift cards, allowing your loved one to choose their favorite pieces of traditional Japanese tableware.
Once purchased, the gift card will be emailed to you with instructions. Simply forward the email to the recipient.

Do You Offer Greeting Cards?
Yes, greeting cards are available.
If you purchase a greeting card together with the items you wish to gift, the card will be included in the package. Please note that we are unable to add personalized messages to greeting cards. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Will my products be wrapped?
We carefully wrap all products in Furoshiki (traditional Japanese wrapping cloth) before shipping.
At MUSUBI KILN, we prepare original Furoshiki colors inspired by the beauty of Japan’s four seasons, so you can enjoy a different design throughout the year. Although you cannot choose the color, you can expect seasonal Furoshiki to change every three months.
Can you wrap the products individually in my order?
We do not offer individual gift wrapping for each product within a single order.
If you would like items wrapped individually, please place separate orders for each item. Please note that a shipping fee will apply to each order.
If the total volume of items in an order is too large, the order may be shipped unwrapped, with one Furoshiki included in the package instead.
Due to our distribution center's operating system, we are unable to notify customers in advance of the wrapping arrangements.
If individual wrapping is important to you, we recommend purchasing additional Furoshiki and wrapping the items yourself. Wrapping a gift with a Furoshiki is simple, and doing it yourself can make the gift even more meaningful. In Japan, it is believed that if you tie the knot while thinking of a loved one, the knot carries their special care and intentions.
